Amphipathic lipids Amphipathic lipids are molecules that are mostly lipid-like (hydrophobic) in structure, but at one end have a region that is polar or ionic (hydrophilic). The hydrophilic region is usually referred to as the head group, and the lipid portion is know as the tail(s). These lipids play an importaind role in forming a celmembrane.
CellMembrane The cell membrane, also known as the plasma membrane, is a double layer of lipids and proteins that surrounds a cell. It separates the cytoplasm (the contents of the cell) from the external environment. The cell membrane is a feature of all cells, both prokaryotic and eukaryotic. It regulates the transport of materials entering and exiting the cell
Cytoplasm Cytoplasm is the fluid that fills the inside of a cell, which is composed of water, salts, and various organic molecules . It also contains filaments, proteins, ions, macromolecular structures, and organelles suspended in the fluid.
Homeostasis Homeostasis is the process or tendency of an organism or body to maintain a stable internal environment that is suitable for sustaining life. Homeostasis involves regulating various physiological processes, such as temperature and blood sugar, at fairly constant and balanced levels. Homeostasis is a dynamic equilibrium, in which continuous change occurs yet relatively uniform conditions prevail.
p5 js p5.js is a JavaScript library for creative coding, with a focus on making coding accessible and inclusive for artists, designers, educators, beginners, and anyone else. It is free and open-source. Using the metaphor of a sketch, p5.js has a full set of drawing functionality.
Raycasting Ray casting is a rendering technique used in computer graphics and computational geometry1. It's capable of creating a three-dimensional perspective in a two-dimensional map1. The idea behind ray casting is to trace rays from the eye, one per pixel, and find the closest object blocking the path of that ray1. Ray casting is considered one of the most basic graphics-rendering algorithms.
Sarcomere A sarcomere is the functional unit of striated muscle. This means it is the most basic unit that makes up our skeletal muscle. Sarcomeres are able to initiate large, sweeping movement by contracting in unison. Their unique structure allows these tiny units to coordinate our muscles' contractions.
