Cytoplasm Cytoplasm is the fluid that fills the inside of a cell, which is composed of water, salts, and various organic molecules . It also contains filaments, proteins, ions, macromolecular structures, and organelles suspended in the fluid.
Homeostasis Homeostasis is the process or tendency of an organism or body to maintain a stable internal environment that is suitable for sustaining life. Homeostasis involves regulating various physiological processes, such as temperature and blood sugar, at fairly constant and balanced levels. Homeostasis is a dynamic equilibrium, in which continuous change occurs yet relatively uniform conditions prevail.
Muscle Nuclei Muscle nuclei are the nuclei of muscle cells, also known as myocytes. Muscle cells are the cells that make up muscle tissue and there are 3 types of muscle cells in the human body; cardiac, skeletal, and smooth. Cardiac and skeletal myocytes are sometimes referred to as muscle fibers due to their long and fibrous shape. Muscle fiber nuclei contain DNA combined with histones and other structural proteins to form chromatin.
Organelle An organelle is a specialized subunit within a cell that has a specific function. Organelles are usually enclosed within their own membrane and are found only in eukaryotic cells, not in prokaryotic cells like bacteria.
Proteins Proteins are large biomolecules and macromolecules that comprise one or more long chains of amino acid residues. They perform a vast array of functions within organisms, including catalyzing metabolic reactions, DNA replication, responding to stimuli, providing structure to cells and organisms, and transporting molecules from one location to another.
